About

Fire. It represents both beauty and destruction. Power and pain.

In many ways, this is the story of the jewelry you see looking up from the display cases of this California boutique. Which is fitting because it’s also the story of the shop’s owner, Adriana Sedenko.

Born and raised in Poland, Adriana Sedenko immigrated to the United States in the early 90’s. She brought with her the lessons of hand-crafted masterpieces learned under her grandfather, a master jeweler and watchmaker.

After a successful career in investment banking, Adriana chose to honor her family’s heritage, training under her uncle, a man well-known for his skill at designing and hand crafting jewelry.

European Jeweler & Goldsmith was born in 2001, in the heart of Carmel-by-the Sea, where cypress trees frame ocean views and creative souls have built their legacies for decades.

It was among this beauty that the fire of grief touched Adriana’s family with the death of her beloved husband, Artur in 2019. The pain of loss brought change, not only to her family but to her business.

European Jewelers & Goldsmith isn’t merely about beauty. It’s also about connection. She’s realized the pieces we wear closest to our hearts often carry the deepest meaning. The birth stones. Wedding rings. Heirlooms and simple charms that remind us of loved ones, promises, and special memories. [talk about a piece she wears?]

Today Adriana wears a new, custom designed wedding ring, symbolizing new love and new beginnings. With a wisdom wrought by fire, she continues to create one-of-a-kind pieces that symbolize both the beauty and pain life brings to all of our lives.
